Clyde C. Beck, 211 West Union street, 81 years old, died Sunday night. A native and lifelong resident of Union county he was a retired farmer and bad lived in Liberty 26 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) lodge. At one time he served for three years as county superintendent of Sunday schools. He is survived by the widow, Hattie; one brother, Rev. Bert Beck of Connersville; two sisters, Mrs. Zed Layson of Connersville and Mrs. Goldie Vernon of Richmond, and one foster son, Thomas Beck Hayes of Liberty. Funeral services for Mr. Beck will be Wednesday a 2 pm (c. d. t.) in the Fosdick funeral home. Bob Hensley, pastor of the Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will be in the mausoleum in West Point cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 pm (c. d. t.) Tuesday. Odd Fellows lodge services will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday at 8 pm.
