OBITUARY :
MRS. COLETTE M. "LETTIE" BARLUP, 48, of 12222 Polktown Road, Zullinger, PA, died unexpectedly, Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the emergency room of the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born June 7, 1967 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Maryon P. (Steele) Phillips of Ridgely, WV and the late Robert W. Phillips.
Colette graduated from Williamsport (MD) High School with the class of 1985.
She and her husband, Kenneth L. Barlup, were married on August 20, 1999.
Colette was a homemaker most of her life, however, she was most recently employed as a Sales Associate at the Waynesboro Walmart.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Blue Ridge Sportsman's Association.
Colette loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her cats, Gizmo and Fitz. Her other favorite activities were fishing, camping, going to the beach, crabbing, being outdoors, and gardening.
Colette was able to give the gift of life to others by her choice to donate through The Gift of Life program.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three daughters, Ashlee M. Sease and her partner, Tyler Shatzer, Brittany N. Barlup and her partner, Matthew Sickles, and Shae T. Barlup and her partner, Samantha Fowler, all of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, twins Camryn and Camdyn Shatzer, Konnor Sickles, and Marlee Sickles; three sisters, Colleen Shindledecker of Waynesboro; Courtnay Sahaydak of Greenville, SC, and Carla Anders of Greencastle, PA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, in the funeral home.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 24, 2016, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will be private in Mount Zion Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
