Florence Beverlin
Florence E. "Toots" (Busby) Beverlin, 95, of Aurora, formerly of Greeley, died Thursday, June 7, at Aurora Care Center. She was born April 2, 1906, in Yuma County to James and Carrie (Brigham) Busby. On Dec. 22, 1923, she married Jesse Beverlin in St. Francis, Kan. He died Dec. 28, 1966.
She was reared and educated in Yuma County. After their marriage, Mrs. Beverlin and her husband lived in Yuma County until they moved their family to Greeley in 1941. She worked at the Weld County General Hospital, now North Colorado Medical Center, for seven years. She later worked as a caregiver in home health care in Greeley. In the early 1970s she moved to Denver.
Mrs. Beverlin enjoyed basketball, baseball and fishing. She liked to hike in the mountains near her daughter's home. She was very interested in current events and anything that involved space and astronomy. She had an excellent sense of humor and was a very happy person.
Survivors are two daughters, three grandchildren. and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Beverlin was the last of 11 children. A son, Robert Dean Beverlin, and four sisters and six brothers are deceased.
Graveside inurnment will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research or a charity of the donor's choice in care of Adamson Memorial West Chapel, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
