Elton Dancer, 69, of Elkhart, passed away at Palestine Regional Medical Center. Military graveside services will be at Pilgrim Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
He was born to Luther Mitchell Dancer and Eloise Carter Dancer.
Mr. Dancer served in the US Navy and was a carpenter for many years. He had live d in Anderson County since 1985 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elkhart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Durwood Mitchell Dancer and two children, Michael Luther Dancer and Kimberly Annette Dancer Defore.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Dancer; brother, Alton Dancer; sister Carol Elizabeth Prestridge; four grandchildren, Kelsey and Cody Defore and Brent and Samantha Dancer; and nephew, John Luker.
