Mrs. Virginia H. Manning, 82 - a lifelong resident of Jackson, MS died Sunday, July 13, 2014.

She was a 1950 graduate of Central High School. Mrs. Manning was a member of Alta Woods United Methodist Church and former member of Capital Street United Methodist Church. She was a long-time member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority where she served as a president of the city council. Mrs. Manning also served on the Board of Directors of the Magnolia Speech School. Prior to her retirement, she was a Systems Analyst for Standard Life Insurance Company and Mississippi Baptist Health Systems.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dixie Cecile Manning; parents, William A. Hilton and Cecile Jones Hilton; and brother, William A. Hilton, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Charles A. Manning; one sister, Beebe Bruckner; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Lakewood Memorial Park with Rev. Eric Sanford officiating.
