Clarence Dayle Henington, beloved husband of Julianne, nee Trubac, dear father of Greg (Valynda), Jeff (Joan) and Captain Christina Rudolph (USAR), passed away March 12, 2016. Born in Bartlett, Texas, on March 2, 1931.
He was the fond brother of the late Ruth Sissom and Doy Henington, and dear uncle of Frank Roberts (Judy).
Mr. Henington had a 20 year career in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a major. He served in Vietnam as a forward air controller and was recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross for his valor there.
After retirement from the Air Force, he worked in Washington as Administrative Assistant to Rep. W. R. Poage of Waco, Texas.
In his third career, Dayle was Senior Vice President of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in Washington, DC.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at the Schram Memorial Chapel, 1799 Patriot Drive, Glenview, Illinois.
Interment private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, with full military honors.
