W. B. Jacks, 68, died at his home in Plevna yesterday at 7:30 a.m., following a short illness, and will be buried today, following services at 2:30 p.m. from the Oakley Baptist Church north of Plevna.
Mr. Jacks was a lifelong resident of the county, a farmer of the Plevna community, and active member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
The Rev. R. M. Hawkins will officiate at services and interment will be in State Line Cemetery, with J. C. Moore and Son of Winchester, Tenn. in charge.
Mr. Jacks is survived by a large family, including 11 children, 31 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Surviving children are: Mrs. C. A. Taylor, Dyer, Tenn.; Mrs. J. G. Jones of Ohatchee, Ala.; E. B. Jacks of Pulaski Pike; Mrs. Herman Donahoo, Birmingham; Mrs. E. B. Reid of Birmingham; E. F. Jacks of Los Angeles; Coleman G. Jacks of Huntsville; R. J. Jacks, Route 1, Elora, Tenn.; Mrs. Fred Baker, New Market; Miss Doris Jacks at home, and W. R. Jacks of Birmingham; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Walker of Huntsville, and Mrs. Charlie Mills of Covington, Ky.; three brothers, H. D. Jacks of Bryson City, N. C., J. B. Jacks of Huntsville, and A. E. Jacks of New Market.
Pallbearers will be Ollie Howard, Artis Reid, Clay Fanning, Clarence Honey, Dalton Jacks and R. O. Simmons.
