Funeral services for the Short brothers, Robert Earl, 19, and Larry Eugene, 17, were held Tuesday, October 8th at the Fountaintown Christian Church, Indiana. Burial was in the Fountaintown Cemetery. The brothers died when their convertible went out of control and flipped over near Indianapolis on October 5 [1963]. According to Indiana State Police, they were sideswiped by a car trying to pass. As they went over an embankment, both were thrown out. Their parents, Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Short, of Fountaintown, are both formerly of Taylor County. They leave 4 brothers, all of Fountaintown: George, Edd, Dallas and Charles, and Mrs. Alonza Cheek, a sister of Waynestown, IN. Truman Richerson, Campbellsville, is a grandfather and they also have several uncles, aunts and other relatives in the county.
