HAMPTON - Thomas Kenneth Ballard, 84, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at Sentara CarePlex.
Born in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., Mr. Ballard worked preparing the front page of the Daily Press for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and was a very active member of the Deaf Missionary Church in Norfolk.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Camela Ballard.
Left to mourn his passing is his best friend and beloved wife of over 59 years, Musie Ballard; a sister, Natalie Bell of Hampton; his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Joyce Ballard of Poquoson; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at Parklawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton.
