Alta Hochstedler was born January 27, 1936 in Arthur, Illinois, the daughter of John G. and Lena (Mast) Hochstedler. In her youth she accepted Christ and was a faithful member of the Old Order Amish Church. Alta has lived in the Kalona community since 1958. Alta died on Friday, March 11, 2016 at her home in Kalona at the age of 80 years, 1 month, and 14 days.
Alta is survived by two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Omer Hochstedler and Henry Hochstedler, two sisters Annie Gingerich and Mattie Hochstedler, a brother-in-law John Gingerich, and a sister-in-law Mrs. Omer Hochstedler.
