In his early years he was employed with Kelly's Mill, Ceresville, for more than 10 years. He was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Thurmont area. retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, in the European Theater. He was a Little League baseball coach for several years in Thurmont, and maintenance man with the Little League. He was a member of the Edwin C. Creeger Post No. 168, American Legion, Thurmont.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patsy Ann Putman and Georgia Frances Hann; one grandson; three sisters, Rose Smith, Frederick; Helen Young, Unionville; and Lillian Ausherman, Walkersville; brothers, Francis Biddinger and Paul Biddinger, both of Frederick.
Services were held at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Home, Thurmont; interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Utica.
