Mrs. Margaret Anselmo Gryder Wilson born in Alta Loma, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2012 in Houston, Texas at the age of 88.

Mrs. Wilson was the first out of 10 children from her Italian family to graduate from high school. She loved being a housewife, was an excellent cook, super mother, grandmother, caregiver to many children who adored her and an animal lover. All of her children were cared with lots of love along with the best of meals. She moved to Houston where she worked as a personal cook and a manager in the retail business. Later she started her own day care business where she loved and treated the children like her own providing loving discipline as well as home cooked meals.

She is predeceased in death by her husbands, W.C. Gryder and Lee Wilson Sr., along with her parents Dominica and Giraloma Anselmo, many siblings and in-laws.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Carolyn (Roy) Tillery, Kay, Lee, Toby and Kelly Wilson, her grandchildren, Ken Gray, Kelly (Dan) Cox, Roy Tillery, II, Kelley Wilson and Rachel Wilson, one great-grandson, her brother and wife, Kelly and Rosemary Anselmo and brother-in-laws, Newton Freeman and Scott Wilson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers or food, her last request was for anyone wishing to make donation in her memory to the animal shelters or to the homeless shelters.

Graveside services were conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 05, 2012 at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, 10708 Highway Six, Hitchcock, TX, with Reverend Tom Ponzini officiating. Interment followed at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Odessey Hospice of Houston especially her nurses, Jodi, Jessica and Kathryn for their wonderful care.
