Arnold A. Piepenburg, 64, of 705 Maple St., died early Friday, December 12, at Calumet Memorial Hospital where he had been hospitalized the past five weeks.

Born in the town of Rantoul on July 6, 1905, he was a son of the late William and Martha Fischer Piepenburg. He married the former Adeline Riemer on Dec. 1, 1928 at Trinity Lutheran Church in the town of Rantoul.

Prior to moving to Chilton two years ago, he worked as a butcher at New Holstein. For the past two years he was custodian at the Toth Nursing home, Chilton.
Mr. Piepenburg was past president of the Zion Lutheran Church, New Holstein.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Floyd of R. 1, Chilton; one sister, Mrs. Clarence Boecher of Port Washington; his stepmother, Mrs. Bertha Piepenburg of Cedarburg; two half-brothers, Walter of Reedsville, and Helmuth of California; two half sisters, Mrs. Vincent Uselding of Cedarburg and Mrs. Alvin Vaupel of Chicago; seven grandchildren. One son and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran Church, New Holstein, the Rev. Victor Kuerschner, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Wayside Lutheran Cemetery.
