Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Willie Eloise Allmon will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Bro. Richard Gambill officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12th, beginning at 12 noon until time for services at the funeral home.
Willie Eloise Butler Allmon was born May 8, 1925 at Forest, Louisiana to the late Lauren Butler and Celia Kennedy Butler. She passed away peacefully on May 7, 2021, one day before her 96th birthday at Cherry Ridge Guest Care in Bastrop, Louisiana. Mrs. Allmon was a member of First Baptist Church of Bastrop where she taught children's Sunday School for many years. She was also a retired clerk with City Drug Store on the square in Bastrop. A devoted and beloved wife and mother, Mrs. Allmon loved her family very much.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Laroy Allmon; two sons, Stephen Allmon and Michael Allmon; and five siblings, Beatrice Pankey, Martile Carroll, Ray Butler, Billie Jean White, and Odell Butler.
Mrs. Allmon is survived by two children, Cary Wayne Allmon and his wife, Freda, and Susan deMarsche and her husband, Jimmy; daughter-in-law, Mary Allmon; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family.
