DECATUR Charles Bond 62, of Decatur died 8:27 a.m.
Wednesday (April 13, 1994) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater North-side M.B. Church with visitation one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown.

Mr. Bond was born June 2, 1931, in Brownsville, the son of Willie T. Transou and Ernestine Waddell.
He retired from Wagner Castings Co. He was a member of Greater Northside M.B. Church he was former chairman of the Deacon Board, a member of the Brotherhood and sang in the -Brotherhood Choir, a member of ithe Men's Sunday School Depart-'rnent and sang with the Spiritual Travelers of Decatur. He married Bessie Mae Walker in 1951. Surviving are his loving wife, i Bessie Mae; sons, Larry and wife Ellen of Decatur; Charles Jr. of Kansas City, daughters, Patricia A. Hicks of Decatur; Delores 'and husband Keith Peltier of Kansas City, stepsisters, Emma Ragland of Detroit, Annie Coleman of Chicago Virgie Ro-berson of Memphis, stepfather, Lester Boatright of Memphis, sisters-in-law, IJonnie Taylor, Mae Ann Garrison of Decatur; brothers-in-law, James Taylor, Robert F. Walker 'and Tony Garrison, all of six grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
