Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 5, 1982 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

Elsie Stark, the daughter of Charles and Emogene (Harrington) Craney, was born at Peabody, Kansas, on August 14, 1890, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 2, 1982, at the age of 91 years, 8 months and 18 days.

Her childhood was spent in Peabody, Kansas where she attended school.

On September 10, 1913, she was united in marriage to Clyde Thomas Shear, Sr. at Peabody, Kansas. After their marriage they moved to York and Hamilton Counties in 1914. Clyde preceded her in death on December 7, 1958. They had moved into Aurora in November of that year.

On September 5, 1966 she married Louis Stark at Aurora. He passed away on September 27, 1967.

Elsie was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora. She had been a member of the Sunshine Club. She was also a member of the Bon Amusement Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, four brothers, Clyde, Leslie, Burton and Clarence.

Those who survive to mourn her passing are her two sons, Kenneth Shear of Bassett, Nebraska and Clyde T. Shear, Jr. of Denver, Colorado; step-son, Harold Stark of Aurora; two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Bieck of Harvard and Mrs. R.D. Brooks of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Mary Rollings of Peabody, Kansas and Vira Ackley of Joliett, Illilnois; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
