Frank S. Fritz, 88, Loveland, Colo., died on Jan. 16, 2013, in the hospice unit at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.

Fritz was born on July 12, 1924, at Wessington Springs to Frank and Ethel Fritz. He graduated from Fedora High School. He enlisted in the Army and served for two years. He received his bachelor's degree in Madison and his master's degree in Phoenix, Ariz. He taught business and later became a high school counselor in Phoenix for many years. He moved to Loveland in July 2012.

Survivors include a brother, Bill of Palestine, Texas; and four sisters, Ada Hague of Howard, Pearl Forst of Bronson, Iowa, Lois Mitchell of Sterling, Ill., and Rose Hallenbeck of Loveland.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Cremation was completed and a memorial service was held on Jan. 19 in Loveland.

Inurnment will be held in the spring at Graceland Cemetery at Madison.
