The Robins Family lived as neighbors to Julius Bates’ Family in Murray Co., GA. Neighbor’s son married neighbor’s daughter. Mary & William’s oldest child, Thomas Jefferson Robins, married Mary (Polly) W. Bates who was Julius Bates’ daughter. When William Henry Robins died in 1847, he was buried @ the family cemetery of Julius Bates on the Bates’ land.

In 1849, 60 covered wagons left Murray Co., GA filled with many Robins & Bates family members. William’s widow, Mary Hollingsworth Robins, & their children: Thomas Jefferson, John Bush, Samuel H., & Henry F. Robins were among those who came in 60 covered wagons to AR. Their son, John Jacob, went to Fannin Co., TX (maybe he traveled as far as AR with the others & then on to NE TX). Their son, William Albert Robins, stayed in GA. I don’t know about: Felix, George W., Elias, or Caroline Robins.

Julius Bates had 13 children. Of the Bates children: John, Andrew, & Winifred stayed in GA along with Julius & his wife. Elizabeth, Mary, Milton, Owen, & Marion Madison moved to AR while M. McAfee went to OK & Thomas, Tilman, William, & Jefferson went on to TX.
