DE SOTO — Barbara Ann Bandy, 65, passed away surrounded by family and friends at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, in Herrin Hospital.

Barbara was born March 13, 1950, in Murphysboro, to Raymond Webb and Phyllis (Offutt) Webb.

She had worked for the State of Illinois as a child support specialist II, at the Child Support Enforcement in Marion.

Barbara was a very dedicated grandmother. She loved being with her grandchildren and going to their games and activities. She enjoyed watching Cardinal Baseball games.

She is survived by her children, Amber Shirley and her fiancée, Charlie Judd and Dale Bandy and his fiancée, Heidi Isspeih, all of De Soto, James Lee of Murphysboro, and Jeanne Stearns Etherton of Chicago; 10 grandchildren, Brendan Stearns, Devan Stearns, Tarah Shirley, Delaney Bandy, Braeden Shirley, Mikey Chancey, Keyli Chancey, Justin Judd, Joshua "J. J." Chancey and Jayme Paige Lee; and two brothers, Michael Webb of Washington, and Dennis Webb of Texaa.

She never met a stranger! Friends became like family members to her and she was "mawmaw" to lots of people!

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her adoptive parents, William and Thelma McDonald; one sister, Sharon Webb; one brother, Rick Webb; and many aunts and uncles.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Pettett Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and until 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Relay For Life.
