William Haxton was born at the home of his parents John McLachlan Haxton and Helen O'Donnell Haxton at 15 Union Street, Blairgowrie, County of Perth, Scotland. At the time of his birth his father John McLachlan was employed as a baker. He was baptized at St. Stephen's RC Church by Father John Malcolm on 15th of Dec 1895. He immigrated to the United States with his father John and his brother Thomas in June 1913 arriving in Boston, Massachusetts.
