Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Lowrie, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Texline Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home of Dalhart.
Mr. Day was born in Carlena. He drilled wells and was a farmer and rancher in the Texline area. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Dalhart.
He married Bessie Neal in 1929 at Clayton, N.M., and they moved to their ranch in 1936. Mrs. Day died in 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Zager of Albuquerque, N.M.; three sons, Charlie Day and Woody Day, both of Texline, and Jimmy Day of Clayton; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
