UNION - Mary Fowler Able, 79, of 315 N. Church St. died Feb. 22, 2002, at Wallace Thomson Hospital.

A native of Union, she was the wife of Broadus Able and a daughter of the late William T. and Hettie Gregory Fowler.

She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth. She was retired from Conso Products.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Delores A. Whitehead of Easley; a son, William T. "Billy" Finucan of Taylors; two sisters, Virginia F. Haney of Cookville, Tenn. and Elsie Fowler of Union; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Barry Ellis. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Monday.

The family is at the home.
