Donald Eugene Blaisure, 84 years old, of South Montrose, PA, entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 11, 2016. He was born in Montrose, PA on July 17, 1931 to the late Harry and Mabel (Weiss) Blaisure. His wife of 33 ½ years, Joyce (Greene) Blaisure survives.
He is also survived by his four daughters, Edilu (Walt) Hunt, Edith (Doug) Wood, Edile (Richard) Harrington, Ediye Phelps, 3 step-daughters, Cheryl (Rudy) Chaverie, Paula (Robert) Remington, Cathy McCain, 1 daughter-in-law, Nancy Lake, brother, Richard (Nancy) Blaisure, step-brother, Kenneth (Erin) Blaisure, 24 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. He was also predeceased by his grandson, John Santacroce, step-son, Christopher Lake and sister, Marion Setser.
Donald loved golfing, was a good bowler and enjoyed gardening. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1949-1953. He was employed for 33 years and retired from IBM. He was a past commander and member of the American Legion Post 154 and a Mason with the Warren Lodge F & AM.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the South Montrose Community Church with Rev. Jane Pykus officiating. Visitations will be from 2 pm to 4 pm prior to the service at the church. A Military service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the South Montrose Cemetery.
