Following a lingering illness, Lafayette Loren Braswell, 76, well known salesman and business man of Florence, passed away peacefully at his home 100 South Warley Street here yesterday.

(Kathleen) Myers of Fitzgerald, Ga. and Mrs. William C. (Eulalie) Blount Jr. of Macon, Ga. a brother M.M. Braswell of Texas and two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Rogers and Mrs. W.F. Evans both of Atlanta, Ga..

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at four o'clock at the First Baptist Church, conducted by his pastor the Rev. W.R. Alexander. The body will remain at his late residence until 3:30 this afternoon, then it will be taken to the church for the funeral and then carried tonight to Fitzgerald, Ga. for burial tomorrow at 4 o'clock.
