UNION - Evelyn Elizabeth Adams Parks, 87, of 1005 W. Main St. died May 29, 2002, at her home after an extended illness.

A native of Union County, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Anna Fowler Adams and widow of Horace Drayton Parks.

She was a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Mary Lybrand Sunday school class and the Louise Brooks Circle. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Hord of the home; a sister, Azalee A. Lybrand of Union; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Duncan Acres United Methodist Church, conducted by Dr. Ralph T. Bowling Jr. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Friday.

The family is at the home.
