Onise Lathrop Galliano, 85, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at 6:40 p.m.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Lighthouse Worship Center in Galliano. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

She is survived by her two sons, Moise Galliano Jr. and wife, Cynthia, Horace Galliano and wife, Kathy; three daughters, Loretta G. Ledet, and her husband, Ronald, Mary G. Gisclair and Anesia “Nesie” G. Doucet and husband, Patrick; brothers, Morrison “Lou” Lathrop and Lorris Lathrop; her daughter-in-law, Julie B. Galliano; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Moise Galliano Sr.; parents, Woodford Lathrop and Leoncia Coron Lathrop; son, Norris Galliano; brothers, Bardford Lathrop, Davidson Lathrop and Woodford Lathrop Jr.; sisters, Nora Marie Lathrop Anselmi, Eleonore Marie Lathrop Pitre, Carrie Marie Lathrop Cheramie, Dorothy Lathrop Sacco.

She was Protestant and a member of the Lighthouse Worship Center. She loved singing and dancing.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
