Bernard Kosse, 84, died Tuesday night, April 26, at Le Mars from injuries received in a tractor accident the previous Friday morning at his farm north of Marcus.

Born in Germany on September 18, 1875, he had spent nearly all of his life in Cherokee County. He and his wife came to Marcus in 1953.

Surviving are his wife, Cecelia of Marcus; four daughters: Mrs. Alvina Gilbert, Cherokee, Mrs. Charles Treinen, Clackamas, Oregon, Mrs. Edmond Thole, Hospers, and Mrs. Marcel J. Schmit, Saint Paul; two sons, Gregory and Alfred Kosse, both of Marcus; 21 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 30 at 9:30 a.m. from Holy Name Catholic Church, Marcus, and burial was in the church cemetery.

The Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Thursday and Frieda at Nelson Funeral Home.
