The death angel has again entered the neighborhood and removed therefrom a loner and greatly esteemed resident, Mrs. Ann Travis, mother of Cyrus Travis, and at whose home she died, at
the advanced age of 94 years. The deceased was the widow of David Travis, who preceded her to the better country some thirty years since. Mr. and Mrs. Travis removed to this place from New York immediately after their marriage 65 years ago. Seven children, four sons and three daughters were born to them, five of whom are living. At the age of
16 she identified herself with the church, and for 78 years has lived an earnest devoted Christ-like life. Not until the past
Summer did she show signs of failing to any extent and up to the time was active in (if ties about the house, and it was indeed hard for her to retire entirely from active life, being of an unusual ambitious nature. The funeral services which were conducted by the Rev. N. O. Lent, on Tuesday, were largely attended. Interment at Hillside.
