Nicholas Bodnar, 49, of 224 Louisiana Ave., died in Elyria Memorial Hospital at 5 p.m. yesterday after a lingering illness.
Mr. Bodnar was born in Lorain, July 9, 1908, and lived in Elyria 22 years. He was a machinist at the National Tube Co., a member of Sacred Heart Church, Elyria and of the Holy Name Society and a councilman of the church.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel; a daughter Rosemary, at home; his mother, Mrs. Rose Bodnar, Lorain; five brothers, Bert, William, and Andrew, all of Elyria, John, Lorain and Alex, Rochester, N.Y., and a sister, Mrs. Mary Domazet, Lorain.
The body is at the Bitter DeCarlo Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 this evening. The Holy Name Society will recited the Rosary at 8:30 tonight.
Services will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow in the funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. Aloysius J. Bartko, pastor, as celebrant of the Solemn High Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
