Capt. Daniel Robert Alexander Johnson, CSA, served in the Tattnall Rangers, GA 61st Infantry, Co. B. Capt. Johnson was severely wounded with a miniball to the left side of his face at Spotsylvania Courthouse. His first wife, Charlotte Hall, died in August 1859, leaving him with 4 young children. He then married Charlotte's sister, Flora Hall, and had 6 more children.

Capt. Johnson was elected twice to serve in the Georgia State House representing Echols County; the first term was 1882-83, and the second term was 1886-1887.
