Lola Ray Boozer age 100 of Sweet Water, AL died February 1, 2016 at Englewood Nursing Home in Monroeville, AL. She was born January 20, 1916 in Sweet Water, AL. She was an elementary school teacher at Sweet Water High School for 40 years and a charter member of Sweet Water United Methodist Church. 

She was survived by her sister, Lottie Fay Furr of Tomball, TX; eleven nieces and nephews, James Hayes Boozer of Key West, FL; JoAnn Fawcett of Colleyville, TX; Janet Hill of St. Joseph, MO; Virgil Hinson of Faunsdale, AL; Mack Furr of Jackson, MS; Lorraine Lambert of Tomball, TX; Evelyn Furr of Spring, TX; Terry Wayne Pyle of Mobile, AL; Sheila P. James of Monroeville, AL; Sharon P. Goleman of Mobile, AL; Amanda P. Hinman of North Charleston, SC. 

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Willie Savannah Boozer and Mamie Braswell Boozer, five brothers, Arland (Dora Mae) Boozer, Braswell Spain (Alice Lee), Alonzo Boozer, Phares (Minnie Lee) Boozer, and James (Inez) Boozer, two sisters, Flora (Virgil) Hinson and Rachel B. (Victor) Pyle.

Visitation will be held at Sweet Water United Methodist Church on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. Adam Hughes and Andy Etheredge officiating. Burial will be in the Sweet Water Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Sweet Water United Methodist Church or to the Sweet Water Cemetery Fund.
