FRANKLIN AND SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Myrle (Mosley) Beal, 95, went to be with the lord January 31, 2016, at Golden Acres in Franklin. Born March 17, 1920 at Ellsworth she was the daughter of Linwood “Tim” and Hazel (Coombs) Mosley.

Myrle was a wonderful person who loved animals, and always had a bright smile and cheerful disposition. Blackie, BJ, and Buddy the dogs that Myrle nurtured over the years were her children, and her world revolved around their care. She loved to cook and entertain friends and family at her home in Southwest Harbor before her health forced her to move to assisted living. Myrle’s Bakewell biscuits were a staple at many meals. She was a life member of Nokomis Rebekah Lodge joining in 1947, a life member of the Eastern Star joining in 1952, and was active in other civic groups as well.

She is survived by one brother, Lester Mosley of Fort Myers Florida, sister in law Gloria (Ray) Mosley, many nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Clarence E. Beal in 1990. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by sisters Gladys Watts, Erma Barden, and Patricia York; brothers, Neal “Buddy” Mosley, Lawrence “Sparky” Mosley, Ray Mosley, Faye Mosley, and Gerard Mosley. She will be especially missed by her nephews, Steven and Randy Mosley. Myrle’s family would like to thank Golden Acres for the care she received over the last few years.

A graveside service for family members will be held in the spring at Woodbine Cemetery in Ellsworth.
