Mrs. D. W. Heard, a resident of San Antonio for 40 years, died at 12:30 o'clock this morning at 950 North Flores street. With her husband, the late D. W. Heard, a prominent Confederate veteran, Mrs. Heard settled in San Antonio at the close of the war, residing here continously ever since. Her residence on North Flores street had been her home for 35 years. She is survived by a son, John Heard, of Winfield, La., and a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Altgelt of San Antonio; two sisters, Mrs. M. B. Thurston of San Antonio, and Mrs. H. F. Brown of Van Buren, Ark., and a brother W. H. Bostwick of Van Buren, Ark.
