Edouard Métayer was the son of Édouard-Elzéar Métayer and Philomène Dupont . He married to Angélina Renaud (Joseph Renaud and Cordélia Monette ) on January 2, 1895 in Montreal Quebec, Canada He was a fireman and then a fire captain at station No. 39. He was injured while he was responding to a fire alarm. He is buried and honored at the firemen's Memorial plot at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery.
