Marilyn (Kent) Tackett

Marilyn Tackett, 61, of Friends Drive, Wellington, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Morgan County ARH Hospital in West Liberty, Kentucky. She was born in Indiana on April 5, 1954 the daughter of the late Ira and Lucille Farron Kent. Marilyn was a homemaker who enjoyed her spare time taking care of and fostering abandoned and unwanted animals of all kinds. Marilyn worked with the local shelters to help place the animals into loving homes. She also loved gardening and planting flowers. Her favorite flowers were of the color blue and purple.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Tackett of Wellington, KY; her daughter, Debbie (Christopher) Norris residing in Moline, IL and her son, Jerry Keith Robertson, II of Wellington, KY; a son in law, Josh Bonilla; four grandchildren, Cassie Bonilla of North Liberty, IA, Mallory Kelley of Dekalb, IL, James Kelley of East Moline, IL and Aaron Kelley of East Moline, IL; four brothers, Ira Jackson Kent, James Kent, Ronald (Ronny) Kent all of Martinsville, IN and Robert Kent of Bedford, IN; five sisters, Dorothy Bailey, Diane Ferrand, Anita Basey all of Martinsville, IN, Linda Hayes of Bedford, IN and Kathy Locke of Danville, IN; as well as many nieces and nephews also surviving.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Charlene Kent, Violet Rose Kent and Margaret Atkins; and one brother, Harrison Kent.
Private family burial took place on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Tackett Family Cemetery in Wellington with Rev. Terry Wells officiating. Taul Funeral Homes of Frenchburg were in charge of arrangements
