DR. E. DEAN ELSEA

Word has been received of the death of Dr. E. Dean Elsea, native of Findlay who was a physician and surgeon on the staff of Detroit Osteopathic Hospital, Highland Park.

Dr. Elsea, who was 65 years old, lived at 28424 West Eight Mile, Farmington.

His parents were George and Laura (Spitler) Elsea who lived on a farm in Liberty Township before moving to Findlay. His father was in the oil business here for a number of years.

Mr. Elsea was graduated from Findlay High School and started practicing in Detroit in 1928

Chairman of the hospital's department of internal medicine, Dr, Elsea served on the Michigan Council of Public Health and Education since 1932. He was also a former health officer in Farmington and Southfield townships. He served eight years as secretary and treasurer of the Osteopathic Board of Registration and Examination in Lansing.

For nine years before his death he was a trustee of the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Elsea is survived by his wife, Florence; two sons, Navy Lt. (jg) Jon, and William R.; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Faupel; and three grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, September 11, 1967, with burial in Acacia Park Cemetery.
