Mary Jane Amick, 70, Claysburg, died Wednesday afternoon at The Village at Morrisons Cove, after a brief illness.
She was born in McKee, daughter of the late Elery David and Mary A. (Kauffman) Amick.
Surviving are three sisters: Ethel M. Finnegan of Altoona, Gladys M. Amick of Claysburg and Ruth A. Ickes of Queen; three brothers: Ronald E. Amick of Claysburg, Paul H. Amick in Louisiana and Fred E. Amick of Altoona; a sister-in-law, Pauline Amick of Roaring Spring; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four siblings: Lois J. Mahon, Shirley E. Amick, Elery W. Amick and an infant brother, Clarence K. Amick.
Jane was a 1965 graduate of Central High School. In 2008, she retired from the Allegheny Lutheran Home after 35 years of service and had previously worked at Wrights Laundry, Hollidaysburg. She attended Bare Memorial Church of God, Roaring Spring, and she enjoyed puzzle books, collecting snowmen and reading.
Friends will be received from noon until the 2 p.m. memorial service, Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Bare Memorial Church of God, Pastor Mark Halliday officiating.
Inurnment will be made in Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury.
Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jane's memory may be given to Bare Memorial Church of God, 508 E. Main St., Roaring Spring, PA 16673.
