MATTHEWS - Mr. David Berry, 66, died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Hospice of Union County.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at First Baptist Church Indian Trail. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m., at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Dave was born November 26, 1947 in Morganton, NC and was the son of the late Hal and Eula Mae Whitlock Berry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Edwards and grandson, Isaac Gamble. For many years, Dave served First Baptist Church Indian Trail in the capacity of Minister to Children. Additionally, he was a United States Marine Veteran.
Dave is survived by his wife, Margie; daughters, Allison Teague and husband, Brian of Harrisburg, NC and Paige Gamble and husband, Jason of Savannah, GA; and 5 grandchildren, Callie, Daniel, Emma, Luke and Benjamin.
