FREEDA MOORE

Freeda J. Moore, 72, of Daybrook, WV died Sunday, January 27, 2008 in John Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.

She was born June 17, 1935 at Mooresville, a daughter of the late Oscar B. Ammons and Icie May Johnson Ammons.

Freeda worked at Westinghouse and visiting homemakers for several years.

She enjoyed canning, baking homemade bread, working in her flowers, watching sports, and working cross word puzzles.

Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Carl W. Moore; five children and their spouses, Dave and Terri Moore, Danny and Monica Moore, Dale and LaKeisha Moore, Donny and Bonnie Moore, all of Daybrook, Diane and Andy Long of Shinnston; four brothers and spouses, Buddy and Brenda Ammons, Delbert and Lola Ammons, Blaine and Donna Ammons, Wayne and Linda Ammons, all of Jakes Run; one sister, Martha Statler of Blacksville; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Alberta who died at birth; brother-in-laws, Stanley Statler and Perry Moore; and one granddaughter, Allishia Marie Moore, who died at birth.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Rev. David Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in the Yost Cemetery at Daybrook.
