- Passed Away in Richmond - Was Former Well Known Citizen of Frederlcksburg. -

Mr. William H. Hurkamp, formerly of this city, died Tuesday night at his home, 300 E. Grace Street, Richmond, after a lingering illness, aged about 56 years. Mr. Hurkamp had held a position with the Internal Revenue Department in Richmond for some time until his health failed. He was a very popular and efficient official and had a host of friends in his home town, who will be grieved to hear of his demise. He had been suffering for a long time with cancer and underwent two operations at the Stuart Circle Hospital recently, but his condition was such that little hope was held out for his recovery. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sisters: Mrs. Anna Keim and Mrs. W.J. Ford, of this city, and Mrs. Elizabeth McDonnell, of Providence, R.I.; one brother, Mr. Charles H. Hurkamp, of Fredericksburg.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Richmond, with interment in Riverside Cemetery.
