Garland Risner age 83 of Royalton, Kentucky passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Salyersville Health Care Center in Salyersville, Kentucky. Garland was born February 10, 1932 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Les and Julia Whitaker Risner.
Survivors include, his wife Wilma Collins Risner, two sons Wesley (Kiah) Risner of Point Pleasent, West Virginia and Lyndon Risner of Lexington, Kentucky, one grandchild Torrin Valkor Risner, three brothers Kelly Risner, George Risner and Lloyd Risner all of Royalton, Kentucky, three sisters Mary Risner, Susie Prater and Sissie Prater all of Royalton, Kentucky.
Besides his parents Garland is preceded in death by two brothers Boyd and Kermit Risner and two sisters Edith Howard and Estis Fitzpatrick.
Garland was a retired Barber, Highway Department Employee and School Bus Driver.
Funeral services for Garland Risner will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 18, 2016 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Les and Julia Risner Cemetery at Puncheon Creek, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2016 and anytime Monday prior to funeral services.
