Marian A. Wieder, 94, formerly of Macungie, passed away peacefully at Luther Crest Retirement Village with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Harry R. Wieder to whom she was married for 61 years before his death in 2004. Born in Topton, she was a daughter of the late Luther A. and Edith M. (Fegley) DeLong.
Marian graduated from Allentown Hospital School of Nursing in 1943 and worked there for a short time before raising her family. She volunteered her nursing skills for the Macungie Ambulance Corps and the community. She was a member of Solomon's U.C.C. where she volunteered in the nursery and was a quilter for over 20 years.
Survivors: sons, Gene and wife, Martha of Coopersburg; Fred and wife, Mary Pat (Birdie) of Macungie; Sidney and wife, Maggie of Cascade, Montana; Curtis and wife, Anna Marie of Allentown; daughter, Audrey, wife of the late Jay Zotter; eight grandsons; ten great-grandchildren. A brother, Alfred and sister, Frances Geiger, predeceased her.
Services: 11:00 am Friday, January 15, 2016 at Solomon's United Church of Christ 82 So. Church St., Macungie. A calling hour will begin at 10:00 am in the church.
