See McBrides' cemetery book, 1972 edition, pp. 166-167, which says that "Residents of the vicinity state that Daniel TYLER, Revolutionary soldier . . . is buried here. The monument could be found."

Daniel served March 4, 1776, in Col. Buckner's 6th Virginia Regiment and Daniel Morgan's Regiment of Rifleman. He fought in the battles of Edge Hill, the capture of Burgoyne, Chestnut Ridge and others. Discharged Feb 20, 1778, at Valley Forge, Pa. Daniel and his family lived in Amherst County, Va. from 1783 to 1804. From 1804 to 1831 they lived in Bedford County, Va. From that place they moved to Ohio, first settling in Logan Co in 1831.
