Merriman Micaja "Mack" Barker married Dulcena S Upton on 13 Feb 1881 in Swain County, NC. Their marriage was performed by: T.M. Frizzell, Justice of the Peace at G.W. Dillard's home. Witnesses were: G.W. Dillard, A.J. Long & A.D. Cagle.
Seven children would be born to this union:
1) Warren Lawrence Barker (1882-1942)
2) Sarah Jane Barker (1884-1908)
3) Ella Lucinda "Ellie" Barker (1886-1940)
4) Andrew Elias Barker (1887-1951)
5) Lillie Barker (1891-1979)
6) Minnie Emma Barker (1893-1957)
7) Stella Barker (1897-1984)
Mack died at home in the Alarka Community from liver cancer.
He was 79-years of age.
