HART SERVICES TO BE SUNDAY
Short Services Scheduled at Home to Be Followed by Rites at Elks Lodge.
Funeral services for W. Burt Hart, who died at Hershey hospital Thursday afternoon, will be conducted at the Elks lodge home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon by the Rev. C. E. Ward, pastor of the Park Avenue Methodist Episcopal church. The lodge will be in charge of the services at the home, preceding the main ceremony, and at Greenwood cemetery later.
Members of the lodge will act as pallbearers. They will be L. L. Boice, Dr. B. E. Eversmeyer, Bud Richard, J. J. Brown, Roy Kautz and E. V. Bedwell.
William Burton Hart was the son of William and Sarah Hart and was born in Muscatine, Nov. 30, 1875. He had spent his entire life in Muscatine. He married Mrs. Mae Halliday of Davenport, Oct. 9, 1916. To this union were born two children, Willyan Alberta and Lindley Burton.
He was a member of the Elks lodge, of which he served as custodian for more than 15 years. He was also a member of the Moose lodge and of the A. O. U. W.
Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Willyan Alberta; one son, Lindley Burton; one stepdaughter, Josephine, all at home; two sisters, Miss Stella Hart and Mrs. Fred Clifford, both of this city; one half-sister, Miss Lola Collins of this city; one half- brother, John H. Collins of Letts.
His mother and sister, Jeanette Hart, preceded him in death recently, The body will remain at the Wittich Funeral Home until Sunday when it will be taken to the Elks home for the services.
