Linda Curtis, 71, of Bynum passed away January 5, 2016 in Itasca. She was born October 7, 1944 in Waco, Linda was the daughter of Robert C. and Winnie (Pruitt) Avery.

She was raised in Cranfills Gap where she graduated from high school in 1963. In 1965, she received her CNA licence from Hill College. She was employed at the Hillsboro Clinic, Town Hall Estates and worked most of her career at Canterbury Villa, retiring in 2006. She also worked for Pizza Hut in Hillsboro for 23 years, retiring from there in 2008.

Linda was united in marriage to Eddie Tom Curtis. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1984.

A member of the Church of Christ, Linda loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ unconditionally and read her bible everyday. An avid animal lover, she was especially fond of dogs. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed crocheting, sewing and reading.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; son-in-law, Lonnie Vanek and grandson, William Simpson.

Funeral services will be held January 9, 2016 at the Chapel in Hillsboro.
