Mary S. (Strine) Buchart, 99, died at Rest Haven – York on January 4, 2016. She was the wife of the late Clair S. Buchart.

Born in York, Mary was the daughter of the late Daniel and Irene (Zumbrun) Strine.

She was a graduate of New Cumberland High School and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Hallam.

Mary is survived by a daughter, Barbara B. Elliott of York; a son, C. Scott Buchart and his wife Diane of York; a daughter-in-law, Wendy M. Buchart of Hellam; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son, John R. Buchart; a granddaughter, Amy Elliott; and two sisters, Margaret Tyson and her husband, Raymond, and Marian McElwain and her husband Wiley.

Following cremation, a private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
