Suggested edit: Rudolph R. Ortegren, the son of Adolph and Christine (Berggren) Ortegren, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska on November 20, 1899. His death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska on April 2, 1981 having attainted the age of 81 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Pete, as he was known to his many friends, had spent his entire lifetime in Hamilton County. He resided with his parents on the farm for many years. In 1937 he and his mother and his sister moved into Aurora.

Since residing in Aurora he was first employed as a transport driver for the Aurora Co-op Oil Company. Later, with Everett Wadell, operated a service station in Aurora. Later he operated a freight drayage service in Aurora. For a few years, as long as his health permitted, he was self employed as a painter.

He was confirmed in the Monroe Evangelical Free Church near Aurora and since residing in Aurora has attended the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, Reuben, Thure and Henry Ortegren and two sisters, Mrs. Segrid Moore and Mrs. Hilma Luthy.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are two sisters, Mrs. Irma Timmons of HOrdville and Norma Ortegren, with whom he had made his home in Aurora; brother, Douglas Ortegren of Powell, Wyoming and many other relatives and close friends.
