Mrs. Dora M. ("Dode") Allen, long time resident of Booneville and Van Meter areas, died at her home July 6, 1973 at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 27 days. She was born in Pattenburg Missouri. Funeral services were held Monday at Fisher's in Van Meter. Mrs. Allen was a former Jefferson Township resident, living in the home now occupied by the M. F. Cushings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by five children, Clara Paullin, Waukee; Homer ALlen, Grinnell; Robert Allen, Francis Allen and Delois Allen all of Booneville; one brother, James Walter Miller, York, Nebr.; one sister, Daisy Chapman, Panoroma City, Calif.; one half sister, Fern McConnell, DeSoto; a half brother, Frank Miller,; thirteen grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.
Burial was at the Booneville Cemetery.
