COOKEVILLE- Funeral services for Ernest Franklin Lafever, 70, of Route 9, Cookeville, were conducted Tuesday, July 8, at the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Noble Davis officiating. Burial was in Lafever Cemetery in White County.
Mr. Lafever died July 5 at Cookeville General Hospital.
Born February 23, 1910, in White County, he was the son of the late George Washington and Cynthia Lollar Lafever and the husband of the late Clara Cason Lafever. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include six sons, Joe M. Lafever, Carl Lafever, both of Cookeville, Billie Lafever, Ricky Lafever, Bennie Lafever, all of California, and Ronnie Lafever of McMinnville ; three daughters, Wanda Pinegar of Sparta, Sandra Cobble of Cookeville and Marcia Smith of Nashville; two sisters, Dora Cunningham of Sparta and Stella Randolph of Cookeville; four brothers, Hugh Lafever, Erastus Lafever, both of Sparta, Clarence Lafever of Cookeville and Huston Lafever of Kansas; 16 grandchildren.

Whitson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
